Donate money

Giving Big or small, every gift you are able to give helps transform lives in and around Hinckley. We couldn't do what we do without your support. Please join us in building brighter futures and consider giving even just £3/month.

Our foodbank is run by local people for local people – we rely on the community’s support to ensure we can continue to stop people going hungry. Can you invest in the future of our project and help us provide much-needed support to people in crisis in our community?

Regular giving:

Giving by standing order helps us to plan ahead, making sure that we’re here to help people in crisis now and in the future.

Bankuet:

We have signed up with an online social impact business Bankuet.co.uk and our supporters can now also donate by logging onto bankuet.co.uk/hinckley.
Donors can ‘buy’ bundles of food at values of £10, £20, £50 or £100, all on a one-off donation or on a monthly basis. This will be converted into specific food items requested by the foodbank each week, so they will only supply items that we urgently need not those which we have plenty of.

They will be delivered on a weekly basis to our unit by Bankuet.

For everyone who cannot get out but are keen to continue donating food and who have internet access, this is an ideal scheme.

For everyone who can get out for shopping etc, we still have our permanent collection points in Hinckley’s Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s (main store and local) and Tesco’s main store, as well as most Co-ops in the area.

Church gifts:

We know that many churches have limited resources and are already heavily committed in supporting causes and people close to their heart, but however may be able to commit to supporting the foodbank financially by a small donation of just £10 per month. Regular income such as this all adds up, and enables us to cover our limited expenses.

Legacy:

A single gift could secure someone’s future. Contact us to find out more.

EasyFundraising
For anyone who buys goods or services online, be it groceries, car insurance, holidays, hotel accommodation, the list is endless. Connected with EasySearch, this site is ideal for anyone who buys goods or services online. You simply open the EasyFundraising page first making sure you have chosen Hinckley Foodbank as the charity, then search for the company that you want to buy goods from, then the product.

The companies will donate either a percentage of the cost, or a fixed amount at no extra cost to you, and sometimes with special deals / money off as well.

For example a night booked in a Travelodge for £34 –  Travelodge currently give a 2% donation – that’s a 68p donation for the foodbank at no extra cost to you.  If you order groceries on line from Sainsbury’s, they currently give a 50p donation for every order. As you can probably appreciate – these small donations add up, especially if they can be multiplied by more supporters.

[A couple of years ago, we changed our car insurer online, forgot to do it through EasyFundraising and missed a £40 donation!!]

Other Ways of supporting us. . .
