Bankuet

19th April 2020

In these weeks of lockdown making it difficult to continue regular donations of stock to the foodbank, especially for those of you who are shielded or in self-isolation, we can announce a new method of making donations to the foodbank.

We have signed up with an online social impact business Bankuet.co.uk and our supporters can now also donate by logging onto bankuet.co.uk/hinckley.

Donors can ‘buy’ bundles of food at values of £10, £20, £50 or £100, all on a one-off donation or on a monthly basis.  This will be converted into specific food items requested by the foodbank each week, so they will only supply items that we urgently need not those which we have plenty of.

They will be delivered on a weekly basis to our unit by Bankuet.

For everyone who cannot get out but are keen to continue donating food and who have internet access, this is an ideal scheme.

For everyone who can get out for shopping etc, we still have our permanent collection points in Hinckley’s Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s (main store and local) and Tesco’s main store, as well as most Co-ops in the area.
